Second Light

Years of rain and humidity had worked their way into this Cary home. The original siding was stained, softening, and pulling loose. Another round of patching would only buy the homeowners one more season. We removed the damaged siding and re-sided the house in James Hardie ColorPlus with clean white trim. ColorPlus has its color baked on at the factory, so it holds up to Carolina sun without repainting. We took down the heavy shutters, which lets the arched window above the entry stand out. Now the whole house reads lighter and calmer from the street. It’s the same home with a completely different first impression, and one the owners won’t have to worry about every time a storm rolls through.
