Mark and team did well. They installed pre-painted Hardie siding (to replace the pressed fiber Johns-Manville product), fascia and corner boards, one replacement (smaller bathroom) window, gutters, gutter guards. House wrap was also added (not added in 1994) and some rot fixed. The neighbors are impressed, and the big surprise was we noticed the AC running less. Contract said 6-8 weeks, but done in 4 (with 4 rain days).

If you are planning similar work, Keep in mind that it is destruction and construction, so at times noisy and violent (1) typically worked 840-5, M-F. (2) The old sheathing was punched through some times, but it is not structural. (3) Have your paint ready to fix nail pops in the drywall. (4) If there are smaller foundation plants you really like, consider moving them temporarily. (5) Nails and shards will be popping up for some time, just like old Christmas tree needles in April. (6) pine needles might still accumulate on top of gutter guards, but should be much easier to remove.
